What a season!

Holy smokes!  Has it really been over a month since I posted?  I promise I have good reason for being so absent…. stop by The Arboretum this week and I’ll show you!

We are off to a fantastic start for our 2009 season.  The gardens are in full bloom, children’s programs are well attended and many new faces are getting involved at The Arboretum.  Here are a few highlights:

* Garden volunteer hours for May and June totaled 664 hours.  Wow!

* We have a new gator.  Having the right equipment makes all the difference in the world!

* The Display Gardens are all abloom and looking fantastic.  Check out the new hummingbird garden.

* Talk about fantastic, all the Community Gardens have been planted and are a riot of color.

* Thanks to John and Richard, the model train in the Children’s Garden is up and running for Story Time each week and on occasionally on the weekends.  Thank you to our two new engineers!

I could go on and on, but instead, why don’t you come out and see for yourself?  Here are a few photos to wet your whistle…
