Cedar Valley Arboretum & Botanic Gardens

Cheery Yellow

What a perfect pair!  These yellow iris (left photo) are blooming outside the Head House and look right at home tucked in between the lamium (Lamium maculatum – common name could also be spotted dead nettle).  And once the iris is done blooming, its stiff leaves will help support the groundcover as it blooms throughout the summer.

Also in the Head House flowerbeds is this sweet little flower (right photo) – a buttercup from the Ranunculaceae family.

See you in the gardens.
