Cedar Valley Arboretum & Botanic Gardens

Story Time is Success!

Story Time started yesterday, and boy, did we have fun!

For our first session of the season, we had over 40 participants!  We read two books, played in the Children’s Garden and decorated our own snakes with colored sand.  We also fed “Jake the Snake,” the Arboretum’s corn snake that lives in the Education Center all summer (he lives with the third graders at Orange Elementary during the school year).  It is so good to hear the gardens filled with little voices and laughter!

Don’t worry if you missed Story Time this week.  Story Time will run for the next eight weeks on Wednesdays.  The storytelling  start at 10:00 a.m. so come early to find a spot up front!

See you in the gardens.
