Growing in the Children’s Garden

leave a comment »

This year, we are growing in the Children’s Garden!  And our main crop is heirloom tomatoes purchased from Seed Savers Exchange in Decorah, Iowa.

(Seed Savers Exchange is a non-profit, member supported organization that saves and shares the heirloom seeds of our garden heritage, forming a living legacy that can be passed down through generations.  To learn more about SSE, please visit their website at www.seedsavers.org.)

I am excited to finally see some of the fruits of our labor!  If you are interested in learning more about the varieties we planted, please click on Children’s Garden Tomatoes at Cedar Valley Arboretum.

(Descriptions and photos were taken from www.seedsavers.org.)

See you in the gardens.
