Need help identifying a tree?

leave a comment »

I had a gentleman come out to the Arboretum yesterday morning with a pine tree branch wondering if I could help him identify the tree.  Have you run into the same problem?  Have a tree but don’t know what it is?

Iowa State Forestry Extension has GREAT online resources to help you identify most trees grown in Iowa.  Check it out at https://www.extension.iastate.edu/forestry/iowa_trees/tree_id.html.

See you in the gardens.
