Cedar Valley Arboretum & Botanic Gardens

How We Give

Picture 028The Arboretum gives us a sense of wonder in our natural world; vistas to enjoy, new plant varieties to inspire and green space for our children to explore.

Some choose to give to the Annual Appeal, Friends of the Arboretum Campaign, Fall Harvest Festival, memorial and tributes or gifts to our Community Foundation Endowment Fund.  Some choose to give one time a year.  Others choose to give more than once a year.

We have different interests; we have different ways to give:

Annual Appeal.   As the trees turn green to gold, we celebrate and say “thank you” for another successful season with an end-of-the-year, tax-deductible gift.

Friends of The Arboretum Campaign.  After a long winter rest, the gardens once again come to life.  We look forward to another season at the Arboretum, and renew our membership in “Friends of the Arboretum.”  Friends receive special admission privileges and many other benefits to over 200 botanical gardens, arboreta, and conservatories throughout North America, Canada, and the Virgin Islands.

The Fall Harvest Festival.   Sponsors of the festival receive publicity and festival benefits, as their support allows 5,000 families and community members to enjoy the Arboretum.

Memorials & Tributes.  The Arboretum is a place to collectively celebrate and remember, and we do this through gifts of monetary memorial and tributes to loved ones.

Community Foundation Endowment Fund.   Contributions secure the Arboretum’s future as gifts are invested and continue to grow while the Arboretum uses annual interest to fund the operating budget.

When we give, we allow the Arboretum to operate and improve … one step at a time.

You can give to any of these opportunities any time of the year.  Just make a note on the memo of your check and your gift will be acknowledged accordingly.  The Arboretum is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit independent organization.  Donations are tax-exempt according to law.
